Kto by się spodziewał, że anime w połowie należące do Polski stanie się najlepszym anime na gali rozdania nagród Anime Awards.
Anime Awards to „gala” rozdania nagród, która organizowana jest co roku przez Crunchyroll już od 6 lat. Pierwsze takie rozdanie miało miejsce w 2017 roku, a obejmuje takie kategorie jak m.in.: najlepsza animacja, najlepsza postać, najlepszy opening czy w końcu anime roku.
Co roku o Anime Awards robi się coraz głośniej. Tym razem w internecie zawrzało ze względu na tytuł, który otrzymał nagrodę Anime of the Year 2023. Nie każdy się bowiem zgadza, że dana seria rzeczywiście jest w pełni japońską animacją, ponieważ w dużej mierze należy do… Polski.
Polskie anime jako najlepsze anime 2023 roku
Oczywiście łatwo się domyślić, że chodzi o Cyberpunka. Tak, to właśnie Edgerunners otrzymało nagrodę najlepszego anime roku na ostatnim rozdaniu nagród Anime Awards. Seria konkurowała w swojej kategorii z takimi tytułami jak:

- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc,
- Lycoris Recoil

Fani Cyberpunka i Edgerunners oczywiście są wniebowzięci, natomiast nie każdy się zgadza z tym, że seria w ogóle powinna być brana pod uwagę. Jednak nic bardziej mylnego – według wszelkich serwisów streamingowych Edgerunners to polsko-japońskie anime.
